PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a processing capacity of a packing machine by enabling highly accurate measurement and enabling high-speed conveyance by stopping immediately rocking of a measuring object conveyed to a measuring position. SOLUTION: This measuring device 10 for measuring the weight of the measuring object W, provided on some position on a conveyance route for conveying the measuring object W with a bag 5 filled with a content intermittently in the suspended state, is equipped with a rocking prevention means 20 provided movably toward the measuring object W, to be brought into contact with the measuring object W by moving members 21, 27 in the vertical direction and/or in the transverse direction by receiving a driving force from driving means 25, 28, to thereby stop rocking of the measuring object W at a measuring time.
