摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to manufacture a glass melt for glass ceramic green glass with sufficiently low bubble counts at high clarifying temperatures at moderate clarifying agent concentrations without the use of additional clarifying units. SOLUTION: The method includes the following steps: preparation of a glass batch based on a lithium aluminum silicate (LAS) glass system having a sole addition of tin oxide as a clarifying agent, at a concentration of≤0.4 wt.%, without arsenic oxide and/or antimony oxide as a clarifying agent; design of a melting vat with regard to a minimum sojourn time (h) of the glass to be clarified and an average glass temperature according to the formula: t<SB>(min)</SB>(T,x)=2+[0.5-(1700-T<SB>(avg)</SB>)]+[50-(0.40-x)] h for T<SB>(avg)</SB>≤1700°C and x≤0.40%, where T<SB>(avg)</SB>=average glass temperature, x=clarifying agent concentration, t<SB>(min)</SB>=minimum sojourn time (h); and melting of the batch and clarifying of the melt at temperatures <1,700°C, without the use of additional, specially designed high-temperature clarifying units.
