<p>A backlight device (3) is received in a tray (32), surrounded by a wall (32b) of the tray so that layered optical sheets (33, 34, 35, 36) receive light from a fluorescent lamp (31). A corner (A) of each optical sheet (33, 34, 35, 36) is formed into a shape in which the top of the corner (A) is removed along each line segment (33c, 34c, 35c, 36c) connecting two sides (33a, 33b, 34a, 34b, 35a, 35b, 36a, 36b) that form the corner. On the wall (32b) of the tray (32) is formed a facing surface (32c) along the line segment (33c, 34c, 35c, 36c) at the corner (A) so as to correspond to the shape of the corner (A) whose top is removed, and the facing surface (32c) restrains the line segments (33c, 34c, 35c, 36c).</p> |
