<p>A multi-functional layer for mounting on e.g. glass, plastic and other materials, has various components in conjunction with photo-trophic, photo-chromic, organic and/or non-organic materials to form one unit. The multi-functional layer can be applied by spraying, streaming, flowing, rolling, sputtering, flowing or by other procedures, on to various back-grounds and surfaces : Independent claims are given for the following.
