The reshaping process for a deformed plastic bottle (1) with a body (2) and grooves (3, 4, 5) involves heating it in a device which includes a temperature-controlled heating zone. Heating the contents of a full but deformed bottle may restore it to its proper shape. The bottles may be placed in an atmosphere consisting of heated gas.
