A color filter substrate, a method of manufacturing the color filter substrate, and a multi-domain LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) having the color filter substrate are provided to prevent uneven display or image sticking from generating at a domain boundary and enhance brightness by arranging liquid crystal molecules at the domain boundary stably and regularly. A color filter substrate includes a substrate, a light-shielding layer, a color filter(230), a transparent electrode(270), and a protrusion. The light-shielding layer has openings arranged in a matrix on the substrate. The color filter is formed in each of the openings. The transparent electrode is formed on the color filter. The transparent electrode includes at least a pair of notches(277) facing each other and has cuts(271,272,273,274,275,276) with a predetermined width. The protrusion is formed in each cut. The protrusion is formed at the center of a sub cut defined by the end of the cut and a notch pair or a sub cut defined by neighboring two notch pairs. |
