A plasma display panel is provided to increase luminance and efficiency thereof by enlarging a phosphor applied area using partitions having a high aspect ratio. A plasma display panel includes a front substrate and a rear substrate. A discharge cell of a quadruple electrode structure defined by partitions is formed on the front and rear substrates. A first electrode(202) and a second electrode(203) are arranged on the front substrate in a recessed shape. A third electrode(213a) and a fourth electrode(213b) are arranged on the rear substrate in a recessed portion which is rotated at 90 degrees to the first and second electrodes. The discharge cell has a square structure.
