A medal and reel game method using Hwatu is provided to prevent mechanical obstacle occurring in advance by using screen display manner instead of mechanical operating manner, to progress slot game and pattern pile game as subsidiary games in concurrence with medal game, and to attract player's interest and maintain the tension of game. The medal and reel game method using Hwatu comprises: game screen setting stage locating a reel game on the lower part of game screen, item belt, winning table, and Chinese phoenix on the middle part of game screen, and used charge window/batting amount window/game window/gift; game start stage transferring multiple items within the above item belt laterally in order of precedence in concurrence with displaying a pattern of Hwatu randomly and dropping medals on a certain place; and game processing stage progressing reel game and patter pile game or accumulating gift score if the dropped medal hit a prescribed item among multiple items.
