摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a circuit scale becomes large, as in a conventional circuit, a dedicated pixel number conversion circuit is required each for recording and reproducing and a dedicated memory is required for each case, or that an access frequency is increased, when one pixel number conversion circuit is shared for the recording and the reproducing. <P>SOLUTION: When an image signal input from an image input section 1 is expanded or contracted, after the pixel number conversion of the image signal is performed either in a vertical pixel number conversion section 3 or in a horizontal pixel number conversion section 4, instead of writing in the memory 6, the signal is directly supplied to the other pixel number conversion section and the pixel number conversion is performed, and thereafter, it is output by way of a signal selection section 2 and an image output section 5. Consequently, the number of the access frequency to the memory is one time. When the image signal stored in the memory 6 is read out and expanded or contracted and output, in the same way as above, the pixel number conversion is sequentially performed for each, by using the vertical pixel number conversion section 3 and the horizontal pixel number conversion section 4, and the signal is output. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
