<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cross-section image display device, method and program, enabling efficient and continuous setting of a cross-section position. <P>SOLUTION: In order to display a cross-section image of a 3D image by using 3D image data, the 3D image data is stored in a PC 12, the two-dimensional image of the 3D image is presented on a position detecting surface 16A of a tablet 16, the 3D image having dimensions corresponding to the two-dimensional image is virtually constructed at the position corresponding to the two-dimensional image in the space over the position detecting surface 16A, the cross-section position where the constructed cross-section image of the 3D image is to be displayed is specified by means of the plate-shaped display 18, the specified cross-section position is detected by the tablet 16, the PC 12 converts the detected cross-section position into the cross-section position in the coordinate system of the 3D image, the cross-section image data representing the cross-section image of the 3D image at the cross-section position is created from the cross-section position and the 3D image data, and the display 18 is controlled to display the cross-section image by using the cross-section image data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
