PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply having a plug, insertable to an electrical outlet for operating it, in cooperative manner with a commercial power system, without causing electric shocks, even if the plug is touched, in a non-insertion state in the electric outlet. SOLUTION: The plug 10 of this power supply with a plug is provided with connection terminals 11 inserted into an electric outlet; relay terminals 12 for applying output of the power supply thereto; connection means 15, 16a and 16 carrying out connection and disconnection between the connection terminals 11 and the relay terminals 12; and insertion operation detection means 13, each moving from an original position to a predetermined position, when the plug 10 is changed over from a non-inserted state to an inserted state and returning to the original position from the predetermined position, when the plug is changed over from the inserted state to the non-inserted state. Power supply with a plug is constituted by using the plug 10 that is so structured that the connection means 15, 16a and 16 executes connection, in conjunction with the movement of the insertion operation detection means 13, when the insertion operation detection means 13 moves to a predetermined position, and executes disconnection, when the insertion operation detection means 13 returns to the original position.
