The present invention relates to a method of preventing phishing. A self-determining method of anti-phishing is provided, in which based on a whitelist constructed of formal URLs of popular sites that become a target of phishing attacks, the address of a website to which a user is connected or linked is compared to the whitelist, and if the address exists in the whitelist, the name of a corresponding site is displayed on the screen, thereby allowing the user to confirm with his or her own eyes whether the site shown on the screen is actually a site that the user desires to connect to. If the address does not exist in the whitelist, the fact that the address is not registered is displayed on the user's screen, thereby providing appropriate warnings so that the user may not be attacked by phishing. In addition, if the address is not registered, a query service is provided, in which the site name shown on the screen can be directly inputted and whether the site is registered in the whitelist can be immediately confirmed, thereby making the user him or herself to suspect a site that pretends to be a registered popular site using an unregistered address. |
