<p>A handoff device in a mobile terminal and a method thereof are provided to enable a user, who is in a danger, to cope with his/her emergency situation calmly by improving location accuracy in case the user makes an E911 request when his/her terminal has been heated. A handoff device in a mobile terminal comprises a temperature detection part(201) and a control part(202). The temperature detection part(201) measures the temperature of a TCXO(Temperature Complementary Crystal Oscillator), installed at the main body(101) of the mobile terminal. The control part(202) judges temperature of the TCXO, based on the temperature information detected through the temperature detection part(201), and hands off a call mode for executing a gpsOne function according to the judged temperature. The control part(202) comprises a voltage/temperature table for calculating actual temperature of the TCXO by using a voltage value detected at the temperature detection part(201).</p> |
