<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image analysis apparatus that extracts an image of measured objects throughout a screen by binarization from an image with a variable density background. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing part 45 comprises an input part 441 for inputting raw image data, a polynomial approximation part 442 for generating image data obtained by horizontally polynomial approximating waveforms representing the luminance level of pixels constituting the raw image data supplied from the input part 441, a filter part 443 for filtering the approximate waveforms to select the pixels that have the highest or lowest luminance level, and a differential computation part 444 for image-processing the raw image data with the filtered image data to extract image data of detected objects. The image analysis subjects the raw image data and a background image generated from the raw image data to the differential computation to eliminate the background image from the raw image and extract the image of detected objects from the variable density raw image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
