<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell which discharges generated water from an oxidant gas supply passage or from the oxidant gas supply passage and a fuel gas supply passage, and can obtain a stable output, and electronic equipment having the fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell has a cell unit 4 which comprises an electrolyte membrane-electrode structure 1 having a pair of electrodes on both faces of an electrolyte membrane and a fuel gas supply passage 2 on one face of the electrolyte membrane-electrode structure 1 and an oxidant gas supply passage 3 on the other face is laminated so that a lamination direction may be vertical or nearly vertical to the gravity direction. A porous body 6 is arranged at the oxidant gas supply passage 3, and a drain port 7 is provided at the end at the bottom side in the gravity direction of the porous body 6.
