<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nano wire light emitting device having an activity layer of an aspect in which semiconductor nano wire powder of a specific composition is irregularly dispersed, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: A nano wire light emitting device comprises a first conductive clad layer 31, a second conductive clad layer 37, and an active layer 35 therebetween.
