<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely enable the switching control of a shift range switching mechanism by an electric actuator even when mechanical displacement in the electric actuator and the shift range switching mechanism occurs, and displacement between a rotor angle of an electric motor, which is recognized by an electric motor control means, and a real shift range of the shift range switching mechanism occurs. <P>SOLUTION: Using the mechanical rattling occurring between the electric actuator and the shift range switching mechanism, the shift range switching device determines a position X which is small in an output shaft angle for a rotor angle change, and the real shift range (detent stable position) of the shift range switching mechanism from the position X which is small in the output shaft angle change so as to makes the rotor angle recognized by the electric motor control means correspond to the real shift range of the shift range switching mechanism. Thereby, the displacement can be corrected, and the shift range switching mechanism can be precisely switched and controlled by the electric actuator control. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
