<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing support apparatus excellent for selecting an appropriate printer along the priority of printing setting by attaining specifications of printed matter. <P>SOLUTION: A host terminal 100 acquires a printing specification electronic job ticket, acquires printer information indicating capabilities of apparatuses with each of a plurality of printers 200, and selects a printer 200 of a printing destination from among the plurality of printers 200 on the basis of the acquired printing specification electronic job ticket and the printer information. Next, document data are processed on the basis of the printer information indicating the apparatus capability of the selected printer 200 and a printing setting electronic job ticket including the print setting of the selected printer 200 is generated on the basis of the acquired printing specification electronic job ticket.
