<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position measurement system for detecting a projected concentric circle pattern by a sensor, and for measuring the position of the sensor and the normal direction of the sensor surface. <P>SOLUTION: This position measurement system is provided with a plurality of concentric circle pattern projection devices 3a, 3b and 3c in the neighborhood of a display 2 of a computer (PC) 1. Concentric circle interference patterns 6a, 6b and 6c are respectively projected from the concentric circle pattern projection devices 3a, 3b and 3c. The concentric circle interference patterns 6a, 6b and 6c are detected by image sensors 5a, 5b and 5c loaded on sensor loaded pointers 4a, 4b and 4c, and the positions of the image sensors 5a, 5b and 5c and the normal direction of the sensor surface are calculated from the signals of the detected concentric circle interference patterns. For example, the instructed points of the sensor loaded pointers 4a, 4b and 4c on the display 2 are displayed on the display 2 by a cursor based on the calculation result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
