PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformize a shift load for each shift stage in a shift operating mechanism of a stick shift. SOLUTION: In the shift operating mechanism of the stick shift for moving a small ball 13 with a large ball 12 of a shift lever 1 as a center by the operation of a shift knob 11 by a driver, a lever lower length variable mechanism 20 composing a lever ratio variable mechanism 2 for varying a lever ratio that is the ratio of a length from the large ball 12 to the small ball 13 to a length from the shift knob 11 to the large ball 12 for each shift stage determined by a select position of a select direction is made of an oscillating member 3 with both upper ends supported so as to freely oscillate in a shift direction.
