PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor power transmitting device capable of distributing and outputting power even from a high-speed high-power motor to two shafts and actively controlling the distribution of torque, and enable limp-home traveling during failure or nonuse of the high-speed high-power motor. SOLUTION: Motor/generators MG1, MG2 are coaxially mounted on a center of a case 1, first and second planetary gear groups G1, G2 at a left side, and a third planetary gear group G3 at a right side are respectively coaxially mounted. The first and the second motor/generators MG1, MG2, each rotational element of the first to third planetary gear groups G1-G3, and first and second output shafts Out 1, Out 2 are connected as shown by a collinear figure of Fig. 36. Normally, both clutches CL1 and CL2 are fastened. Upon failure of the first motor/generator MG1, the second clutch CL2 is released, and limp-home traveling is made possible by using the second motor/generator MG2. Upon failure of the second motor/generator MG2, the first clutch CL1 is released, and limp-home traveling is made possible by using the first motor/generator MG1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
