PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic water generator efficiently providing electrolytic water having a desired pH value, even suppressing an electrolysis voltage and reducing drain amount. SOLUTION: This electrolytic water generator is equipped with a negative electrode 1; a positive electrode 2 facedly disposed thereto with a given distance; a diaphragm 3 provided on the face opposing to the negative electrode 1 of the positive electrode 2 in contact therewith; a negative electrode flow passage 6 provided between the negative electrode 1 and diaphragm 3 and letting raw water flow from an inlet to an outlet; and a drainage 7 provided on the rear face side of the positive electrode 2, to generate electrolytic water by applying a voltage between the negative electrode 1 and positive electrode 2. The positive electrode 2 is formed to be electrode structure having water permeability. Part of the raw water flowing through the negative electrode flow passage 6 is passed through the diaphragm 3 and the positive electrode 2 in contact with the diaphragm 3, and part of the raw water is drained to the drainage 7 together with hydrogen ions formed on the surface of the positive electrode 2.
