PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve the demerit of a filter wherein a filter medium is liable to cause clogging, and a long period until next filter exchange causes holding of filtered matter for a long period, making the filter capacity poor. SOLUTION: By providing a system reversely running circulation water in a filter tank regularly or irregularly and by backwashing, filtered matter and dust in the filter tank and attached on the surface of the filter are washed and discharged to the outside of the circulation system to regenerate and recover filter capacity in a short period.
