AN URBAN ROAD NETWORK STRUCTURE UNIT WITH NO TRAFFIC LIGHTS

An urban road network structure unit with no traffic lights comprises local grid-like road network units which form a vehicle road network, in which, traffic lights of all vehicle road crossings of the unit are cancelled, the structure forms of the unit are different grid forms or a combination thereof, four crossings at the corners of each unit are interchange crossings, and the remainders are level crossings with no conflict points or interchange crossings. At the interchange crossing, a separate type flyover bridge is arranged, with center isolate strips being provided in the middle of the roads. Partition guardrails are provided longitudinally on either side of the roads, along which exits or entrances are arranged at required intervals. Pedestrian bridges or pedestrian underpasses are arranged across the vehicle road. The network units can constitute an express road network so that the vehicle can pass uninterruptedly, and need not stop at the crossings. In this way, the traffic capacity can be increased greatly so that the problem of urban traffic jam can be resolved.
