<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a single sign-on in a broadcast communication cooperation service. <P>SOLUTION: In this authentication method, when a video receiving terminal 2 makes a service use request from a BML browser, an authentication cooperation device 1 receives the request, and establishes a session with a service providing terminal 3, and transmits the request to the service providing terminal 3. In this case, the authentication cooperation device 1 stores the corresponding information of request management ID applied to the request and session ID in a session managing means 14. When the authentication of a user is necessary, the service providing terminal 3 receives authentication information from a video receiving terminal 2 through the authentication cooperation device 1, and when authentication is completed, registers the authentication information in an authentication terminal 4. Afterwards, the service providing terminal 3 transmits the requested content.
