<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording medium, which has high storage stability and, at the same time, has high glossiness and high whiteness and the inkjet recording characteristics of which is favorable. <P>SOLUTION: In the inkjet recording medium, in which an ink accepting layer including a pigment, a binder and a fluorescent brightening agent is provided on at least one side of an gas permeable support, the pH of the surface of the ink accepting layer is adjusted to be 4.0-7.0 with an organic acid, and, at the same time, the 75 degree specular glossiness of the surface of the ink accepting layer is at least 50%.
