<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent an image forming apparatus main body and a developing cartridge from being broken, regarding the image forming apparatus where a process unit equipped with the developing cartridge is freely attached/detached. <P>SOLUTION: In the developing cartridge 28, a part to be operated 67 is arranged near a developing coupling 66 which is rotationally driven while joining an external driving shaft. In a photoreceptor cartridge 27, an energizing mechanism 60 equipped with a rotating member 61 which rotates in contact with the part to be operated 67 is arranged. In such a situation that the developing cartridge 28 is abnormally attached to the photoreceptor cartridge 27, the rotating member 61 never rotate up to a prescribed position, and the member 61 is positioned so as to cover the developing coupling 66 (wavy line), then, the joint of the developing coupling 66 and the driving shaft is interrupted. Consequently, the breakage due to the poor joint is prevented. In such a situation that the developing cartridge 28 is normally attached to the photoreceptor cartridge 27, the rotating member 61 rotates up to the prescribed position, then, the joint is not interrupted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
