摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a fuel cell, easily producing a fuel cell of which durability and power generation performance can be improved. <P>SOLUTION: The method provides the fuel cell equipped with an MEA having an electrolyte film 1 and catalyst layers laid on both sides of the electrolyte film 1 and diffusion layers laid on the outside of the MEA. The lamination area of the catalyst layer is smaller than those of the electrolyte film 1 and the diffusion layer and an end part of the catalyst layer is tilted so as to be abuttable with the diffusion layer. The method includes a step of masking the end part with a frame-shaped masking member 20, and a step of making the catalyst layer after the masking step by spraying a catalyst component from the upside of the mask member 20 on the lamination area of the electrolyte film 1.
