<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device that can restore a volume including WORM data. <P>SOLUTION: After copying, a control part refers to first metadata on data stored in a first block of a first volume; and if the first metadata referred to includes information that the data stored in the first block is protected against update for a predetermined period, refers to metadata on the block next to the first block, or if the first metadata referred to does not include information that the data stored in the first block is protected against update for a predetermined period, copies data stored in a second block of a second volume corresponding to the first block to the first block of the first volume to restore the contents of the second volume to the first volume. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
