PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capturing member capable of maintaining a state of capturing ink droplets discharged to a region other than a recording medium in an excellent state for a long period of time in marginless printing by an ink-jet recording method, and an ink-jet printer provided with the capturing member. SOLUTION: The capturing member 30 directly captures the ink droplets discharged to the region other than the recording medium in ink droplets 19 discharged from a printer head 13 for ink-jet recording. The capturing member 30 is composed of porous plastics manufactured by sintering and molding plastic particles and it is impregnated with an impregnant. The ink-jet printer has the capturing member.
