PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of reproducing a moving picture whose camera shake is corrected in the precision unit of less than one pixel, and obtaining a still picture with excellent resolution from the moving picture. SOLUTION: In the case of recording the moving picture, an area shift circuit 111 carries out camera shake correction in the unit of one pixel by applying shift processing of rounding off fractional pixels less than one pixel to motion amounts detected by a motion detection circuit 110. In the case that the recorded moving picture is outputted as a still picture, a super resolution processing circuit 113 uses the picture whose camera shake is corrected in the unit of one pixel to carry out super resolution processing. Further, when moving picture data are reproduced, an area shift circuit 119 carries out interpolation processing on the basis of the motion amount in the unit of less than one pixel detected by the motion detection circuit 110 to execute display.
