PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-forming device for forming a higher-quality image. SOLUTION: A printer unit 10 applies gradation resolution (10-bit precision) that is higher than that (8-bit precision) used for image formation processing in in-plane irregularity correction processing, and returns image data to the gradation resolution (8-bit precision) of the image formation processing at the later stage of the in-plane irregularity correction processing. The printer unit 10 calculates the differential value between the image data (10-bit precision) immediately after the in-plane irregularity correction processing and those (8-bit precision) converted to the gradation resolution of image formation processing, when returning to the gradation resolution (8-bit precision) of the image formation processing, and diffuses the calculated differential value to a nearby pixel, thus suppressing the occurrence of a pseudo contour even if the gradation representation resolution is restricted in the printer unit 10.
