PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a screw rotor capable of compressing a gas. SOLUTION: This screw rotor 26, 27 comprises an upstream side screw part 43a and a downstream side screw part 43b. The upstream side screw part is formed on the upstream side in the gas feeding direction and in which the intervals of upstream side threads 41a are made equal to each other. The downstream side screw part 43b is formed continuously on the downstream side of the upstream side screw part 43a in the gas feeding direction, in which the intervals of the downstream side threads 41b are made smaller than those of the upstream side threads 41a and the intervals of these threads are equal to each other, and in which the upstream side end of the downstream side thread 41b in the gas feeding direction and the downstream side end of the upstream side thread 41a are continuously connected to each other through points of inflexion (43c).
