PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain ideal acceleration characteristics without being affected by the delay of supercharging of a supercharger in a control device of an internal combustion engine with the supercharger. SOLUTION: A target intake air amount m<SB>t</SB>' according to an accelerator openingθ<SB>A</SB>is calculated using a virtual internal combustion engine model with a virtual throttle upstream side pressure P<SB>A</SB>. A target throttle openingθaccording to an actual throttle upstream side pressure P<SB>IN</SB>is calculated to attain the target intake air amount m<SB>t</SB>'.
