PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which can dry a printing surface in a short heating time. SOLUTION: The printer comprises a first heating part 30 and a second heating part 40. The first heating part 30 is disposed along a conveyance route of the inlet side of a printing medium 60 to come into contact with the printing medium 60. The second heating part 40 is disposed along a conveyance route of the outlet side of the printing medium 60 to separate from the printing medium 60. The first heating part 30 preliminarily heats the printing surface 60a of the printing medium 60 before printing. After printing by delivering ink by a printing head 11 to the heated printing surface 60a, the second heating part 40 further heats the printing surface 60a by supplying heating air nearly perpendicularly to the printing surface 60a of the printing medium 60, dries and fixes the ink of the printing surface 60a.
