PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and rapidly perform inspection work of a concealed space such as an underfloor space or an attic space by an inspection device of simple constitution. SOLUTION: In constructing a building, a rail 10 is mounted to a structural member located above the underfloor space or the attic spacer, to form a travel path of an inspection traveling body 20. IC tags 30 storing position information and imaging commands are installed in the predetermined positions of the rail 10. The inspection traveling body 20 is provided with a traveling part 20b hangingly provided at the rail 10 to automatically travel below the rail 10, and installed on the travel path to automatically travel during inspection. The inspection traveling body 20 is provided with an infrared camera and an IC tag reader, and reads the position information from the IC tags 30 installed at passage points during travel and outputs it to the outside. The inspection traveling body 20 further reads the imaging command from the IC tag 30 and images the foundation surface by the infrared camera.
