PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To flexibly cope with the height dimension or the like of a waterway while enhancing versatility of a sediment capture member in a permeable check dam and to easily mount the sediment capture member while effectively protecting its mounting part from an avalanche of sand and stone. SOLUTION: The sediment capture member 20 is constructed in the waterway 16 of the permeable check dam with dam bodies 11, 12 arranged on both lateral sides with the vertically extending waterway 16 held between. The sediment capture member 20 is constructed by connecting spacers 24 to spacer connecting parts 28 of a predetermined number of beam members 22 and interposing the spacers between the beam members 22. The sediment capture member 20 is installed in the waterway 16 so that both ends of the beam members 22 of the sediment capture member 20 are inserted in respective grooves 18, and both ends of the beam members 22, the spacers 24 and spacer connecting parts 28 are stored in the grooves 18 and protected from the avalanche of sand and stone.
