PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wall storage-type double sliding door device with a simple constitution, which requires only a small number of components, and which operates without causing any problem. SOLUTION: This sliding door device is equipped with a sliding door 4 which is openably/closably arranged in an entrance; the sliding door 4 is divided into front and rear doors; and the front door 4a can be housed in the rear door 4b. Front and rear sash hangers 7 and 7 of the rear door 4b and a door end-side sash hanger 6 of the front door 4a are suspended from a rail 5 which is mounted on the head 2a of the sliding door, and a traveling wheel 10 for traveling on the lower frame 41 of the rear door 4b is arranged in a lower position on the side of the door tail of the front door 4a.
