A cooling apparatus of a projector is provided to increase cooling efficiency by a communication path for connecting a cooling fan and a heat sink to blow cold air to the heat sink. A cooling apparatus of a projector includes a heat sink(233), a cooling fan and a duct unit. The heat sink is installed at a side part of an engine main body. The cooling fan is installed at one side of the heat sink. The duct unit guides cold air sucked by the cooling fan toward the heat sink. The duct unit includes a first duct member for connecting the cooling fan and the heat sink. The duct unit further includes a second duct connected to the other side of the heat sink. The first duct member or the second duct member is formed of a tubular shape having upper and lower bent parts to be inserted into an outer surface of the heat sink.
