The invention relates to a belt drive for an internal combustion engine, said belt drive comprising a belt element (2) which is embodied as a belt or a chain and is guided by means of drive wheels and output wheels (3, 5, 6) of the crankshaft (4) and at least one camshaft (7, 8) of the internal combustion engine and/or auxiliary groups to be driven. The aim of the invention is to ensure a reliable moderation of the drive by eliminating vibrations and resonance. To this end, at least one of the drive or output wheels (3, 5, 6) or a deflection wheel (9) is embodied in a non-circular or eccentric manner, and/or at least two clamping rolls (11,13) are provided, one of said clamping rolls (13) being provided with a damping device (14) or the two clamping rolls (11, 13) being coupled together by a damping device (14). ® KIPO & WIPO 2007 |
