<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of performing control equivalent to the control in a normal condition even when abnormality related to two control means for separately controlling a brushless motor occurs. <P>SOLUTION: This electric power steering device is provided with a target current setting means (a control microcomputer) 40C for setting a target current signal IMS, a drive control means (a drive control microcomputer) 50C for setting a motor control signal VO, and a motor drive means (a motor drive circuit) 51 for driving the brushless motor 6.
