<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal device for preventing deterioration in viewing quality due to suppression of sensitivity. <P>SOLUTION: A signal transmitted from a cellular phone unit is extracted by a directional coupler 20 provided on a post stage of a communication transmitter 32, and the extracted signal is detected by a detector 21 to detect a transmission output level. Size comparison is performed for a comparison level to be generated by a reference voltage source 23 depending on the reception electric field strength of a broadcast signal and the transmission output level. Only when the transmission output level exceeds the comparison level and the transmission output of the cellular phone unit reaches a level causing sensitivity suppression of a TV receiver 13, path switching is performed so that a filter 11 is interposed between a television reception antenna ANT 1 and the TV receiver 13, using an input changeover switch 10 and an output changeover switch 12.
