摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetostriction measuring method by a method of ultrasonic standing wave capable of determining magnetostriction at an optional portion of a magnetic body accurately and simply by utilizing an elastic standing wave generated in the magnetic body; and also to provide a stress inspection method using the method. SOLUTION: An elastic wave is propagated in the magnetic body 10 and reflected, and thereby a standing wave is formed in the magnetic body 10 and a vibration magnetic field is generated, and magnetostriction generated in the magnetic body is measured from the vibration magnetic field. An induced electromotive force and the magnetostriction are measured beforehand by changing an external magnetic field H<SB>DC</SB>at a prescribed position of the magnetic body 10 wherein the standing wave is formed, and the relation between the induced electromotive force and the magnetostriction relative to an effective magnetic field is determined as calibration data. A constant external magnetic field H<SB>DC</SB>is applied to the magnetic body 10 wherein the standing wave is formed, and the induced electromotive force by the vibration magnetic field at each part is measured along the elastic wave propagation direction of the magnetic body, and the magnetostriction at each part of the magnetic body is calculated based on the calibration data determined beforehand.
