PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper inverting device capable of inverting paper at high speed. SOLUTION: This paper inverting device 10A is provided with a conveying means 13 for carrying-in and a suction means 14 for carrying-in provided in one face side of a paper inverting space S; and with a conveying means 16 for carrying-out and a suction means 17 for carrying-out provided in the other face side of the paper inverting space S. Paper P guided into the paper inverting space S is transferred from the conveying means 13 for carrying-in to the conveying means 16 for carrying-out, in an inverting position, and by carrying out the transferred paper P from the paper inverting space S, back and front sides of the paper P are inverted. The conveying means 13 for carrying-in is arranged so as to be inclined with respect to the conveying means 16 for carrying-out to carry the paper P in the direction gradually approaching to the conveying means 16 for carrying-out, and the conveying means 16 for carrying-out is shifted and arranged in the downstream position of the slantly arranged conveying means 13 for carrying-in.
