PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording apparatus with improved processing speed, which can increase an amount of recording paper sheets. SOLUTION: In the image recording apparatus, a first recording medium housing part 41 and a second recording medium housing part 42 are disposed to be forward and backward in a horizontal direction, an image transferring means 30 is disposed above the first recording medium housing part 41, a horizontal delivery carrying passage 52 and a horizontal feeding carrying passage 51 which are extended from the image transferring means 30 are disposed above the first recording medium housing part 41 and second recording medium housing part 42. A first carrying port passage 41a of the first recording medium housing part 41 is connected with a first vertical carrying passage 53 which is extended upward between the first recording medium housing part 41 and the second recording medium housing part 42, and the first vertical carrying passage 53 is connected with the middle part of the horizontal feeding carrying passage 51. A second carrying port passage 42a of the second recording medium housing part 42 is connected with a second vertical carrying passage 54 which is extended upward from the rear of the second recording medium housing part 42, and the second vertical carrying passage 54 is connected with a rear end part of the horizontal feeding carrying passage 51.
