PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transport fruits such as strawberries from an area of production to an area of consumption without reducing the weight thereof while keeping the natural appearance immediately after the harvest, and to store the fruits for a long time. SOLUTION: Recesses 41 are formed by the profile working on the surfaces of first open cell flexible polyurethane foam sheets 40a and 40b, and a fruit 1 is stored in the recess 41 to form a fruit storing body 40. The fruit is preferably held at upper and lower sides thereof by hydrated second open cell flexible polyurethane foam sheets 30a and 30b. More preferably, the fruit is stored in a container 10 while being packaged entirely with non-water-permeable sheets 20a and 20b for transporting and storing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
