PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission, utilizing run-out of a cutting tool. SOLUTION: This transmission 61 includes: a rotating part 65 rotated integrally with a main shaft 46; a power generator 66 for generating power by the rotation of the rotating part 65; an electric motor 67 driven in rotation by generated power of the power generator 66; and a machining tool holding part 68 driven in rotation by the electric motor 67 and holding a machining tool T. An adjuster bolt 78 adjusts the position of the rotating part 65 to shift the axis 65c of the rotating part 65 to the rotating shaft CA1 of the main shaft 46. A case 69 includes a ball bearing 72 for journaling the rotating part 65 and a pin 75 for regulating the rotation of the case 69, and the case can make a circular motion with the rotation of the rotating part 65 taking the position shifted from the axis 65c of the rotating part 65 as the rotation axis. The machining tool holding part 68 is rotated at a higher speed than the rotating part 65 by the electric motor 67 while making a circular motion with the circular motion of the case 69.
