PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent optical recording method, optical recording device and optical recording medium which are excellent in a recording/reproducing efficiency when performing recording, reproducing, focusing or tracking control by using a laser beam, are not affected by the deviation of optical axes of a plurality of laser beams caused by the error of an optical recording/reproducing device, and can simplify the layer configuration of the optical recording medium itself. SOLUTION: The method for optical recording comprises: a pattern position detection step for irradiating the optical recording medium provided with a recording layer for recording information by using a holography and a pattern having at least track information and address information with either one of an information light beam or a reference light beam to to detect the position of the pattern based on a reflected light beam; and an interference image recording step for moving the position of the optical axis of the information light beam or the reference light beam to a position other than that of the pattern based on the detected pattern position information, applying the information light beam or the reference light beam to the recording layer to form an interference image, and recording the interference image in the recording layer.
