PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance an operatability in the editing of an embroidery pattern. SOLUTION: The embroidery sewing machine 1 embroidering a cloth according to the embroidering pattern 10 edited by an operating panel 5 has a pushing down position detecting means 6 detecting a pushing down position P of a touch panel 52, an editing position detecting means 6 detecting an editing position E when moving the touch panel 52 from the pushing down position P to the editing position E while continuously pushing down the same, an acting point location determining means 6 determining the location of the acting point A from the pushing down position P, a rotational angle calculation means 6 calculating the rotational angle of the embroidery pattern 10 from a predetermined support point F in the embroidery pattern 10, the pushing down position P and the editing position E, a pattern data making means 6 making the pattern data 62a of the embroidery pattern 10 rotated around the support point F by the calculated rotational angle, and an embroidery pattern displaying control means 6 displaying the embroidery pattern 10 after rotational editing from the pattern data 62a of the made embroidery pattern 10.
