The inventive device (12) also comprises a pump beam (19) whose strait section has given dimensions and wavelength is selected in such a way that it makes it possible to bring laser ions into excitation state. Said pump beam (19) enters an input area (47) of the layer (13) at a given incidence angle (?p) in such a way that at least one optical gain (20) is formed in the layer (13). The volume of the area (20) which is less than the volume of the layer (13) and the position thereof in the layer (13) are adjustable to the dimensions of the pump beam (19) straight section and to the incidence angle (?p).</p>
